That is what everyone is asking. Truth is, I didn’t want to leave my students with a sub, again. My brothers are handling details in Arizona and there is nothing for me to do. Due to my medical difficulties, it would be impossible for me to travel at this time. So, I am with my students. There has been a great deal of turmoil in my classroom. My para took s leave of absence. Her “replacement” (of 2 months) called in sick quite often and then last week, quit without notice. We have a new student and we have a student that left us. One of my autistic boys told me that he hopes I don’t die next. A little crude to some, but I see it as endearing, from a boy who usually does not show emotions. He cares about me. That is why I came to school today!

I hope you don’t die next, too! It is lovely that you hear where he is coming from. I’m sorry there is not more steady support for you there in your classroom. Hope that gets remedied soon.
